The closest airport in France is Perpignan, an hours drive, with daily flights from the U.K, other European cities and several flights a day from Paris. Other airports within easy driving distance in France are: Carcassone - 2 hrs. drive; Montpellier – 2 hrs. drive and Toulouse - 2 hrs. 30 mins. In Spain: Girona Airport - 1 hr.30mins. drive, and Barcelona Airport – 2 hr.30mins. with daily flights from the U.K and other European cities.

Various airlines fly into these airports but most are also serviced by the low cost airlines, Ryan Air, Easy Jet, British European etc.

From the U.K. the fastest route is by autoroute from Calais, via either Reims or Paris. With two drivers this route can take one long day, but you might prefer to stop overnight. Alternatively, overnight ferry from Portsmouth to Caen or Le Havre works well. The A20 reached via Tours, is almost completed and the A75/A9, via Paris, which runs through some exciting scenery south of Clermont-Ferrand, both provide good routes to Perpignan. Hotel stops are easy to find and often reasonably priced. At weekends and in the Peak season pre-booking is advisable. Prices are per room rather than per person, with breakfast sometimes an extra charge.

From the U.K. motorail to Narbonne is a restful way to arrive in the area. Eurostar trains from London (Waterloo) or Ashford (Kent) connect with the TGV to Perpignan at Lille Europe. Contact SNFC, Piccadilly, London - ask for details of special family tickets.

The property is approximately a 40 min. drive from the last exit on the French side of the main autoroute to Barcelona.
